Finchley Golf Club is proud to have a large and active women's section with a fantastic community of golfers and a wide range of handicaps. We believe in creating a welcoming environment for all, from single-figure golfers to those just starting their golfing journey.
Our golfing calendar is full throughout the year, offering a variety of formats to suit everyone. We have dedicated women's competitions on Tuesdays and weekends, alongside a full schedule of mixed and integrated competitions with the rest of the club, including major Board Competitions and other weekly Stablefords and Medals.
We understand that joining a new club can be daunting, which is why we have a successful buddy program to help new members feel at home from day one. Your buddy will be on hand to introduce you to other members, show you the ropes, and, of course, play a few rounds with you. We also make an effort to pair new members with golfers of a similar ability to help you get started.
If you're interested in joining, please feel free to reach out and we will arrange a courtesy round with members of the section!
For those who enjoy competitive golf, we have a strong and successful presence in county competitions.
The Scratch Team:
Our Scratch team, captained by Katie Olewnik, is a force to be reckoned with. After achieving remarkable back-to-back promotions, the team now competes in Division 1 of the prestigious 5-a-side Middlesex Scratch league.
The Pearsons Team:
The Pearsons team, captained by Alex O'Donohoe, is our most storied Women's team at Finchley. Finchley has a rich history of competing for the Pearson's Trophy, having won the title in 1995, 2011, 2013, and 2016, and reaching the finals in 2018 and 2022. It offers a fantastic opportunity for competitive matchplay against other clubs in the county. The Pearsons team is for ladies with a handicap index between 13.0 and 28.0.
