Etiquette

Our staff and club members look forward to entertaining you and we are confident that you will enjoy our course and clubhouse facilities.

In order to ensure that there are no misunderstandings and you have a pleasant visit to Finchley we ask that you kindly observe the following:

Denim jeans are not allowed on the course.

Shorts may be worn on the course and in the clubhouse. However, they must be tailored and worn with either long socks of any colour or predominately white short socks (not black working socks). Suitable socks are available for purchase from our golf professional shop.

Tracksuits are not allowed in the clubhouse or on the course.

A shoe changing room complete with lockers (£1 refundable) is provided for your convenience, located inside the main door of the clubhouse.

No Golf shoes (whether spiked or not) may be worn in the clubhouse, except in the spike bar. Do not walk without shoes anywhere in the clubhouse. When you leave the course, please change into normal shoes - trainers and beach shoes are not allowed.

Dirty, wet or soiled golf clothing may not be worn in the Lounge Bar (Blue Room) or Dining Room.

Only shirts with collars may be worn in the clubhouse or on the course. The one exception is the crew neck golf mock, as worn by Tiger Woods.

No shirts outside of trousers in the clubhouse or on the course.

Caps must be worn with the peak at the front when on the course. No headgear of any kind (including sun visors) may be worn in the clubhouse.

Players and visitors are expected to change into a jacket and tie for their evening meal in the dining room.

Mobile telephones may only be used in the car park or in the stairwell of the clubhouse by the public phone.

Your co-operation on these few simple matters will be very much appreciated. Once again, we very much hope you enjoy your day.
